With a photograph of a butterfly and some digital design work, this woodcarving came to life. The same whole butterfly design was used but each one subjected to a little more negative space from top to bottom. I love using negative space in my artwork. This is carved in maple, hand painted and given a semi gloss finish. Ready to hang.
